This buffet supper group was started approximately 5 or 6 years ago. The concept was derived from the sociologists’ label given to the generation born after 1961. There was a significant number of adults in the congregation who fitted this category, many of whom were new to St John’s, so the group was formed. It has provided a venue for forming friendships as well as creating a greater sense of integration into parish life generally. The group meets bi-monthly, with each person bringing a themed dish (main course or dessert) to create the buffet. It has been a great success.
