Walsingham Cell

Saint Sexburgha

The Walsingham Cell was set up to meet monthly on Sundays after Benediction.

Over the years this has become an important point of reference for many in their spiritual journey. It is always a welcome and uplifting experience that is eagerly looked forward to each year

Its purpose is to:

  • disseminate information about the Shrine;
  • provide a venue for input and discussion on areas of Christian spirituality and thought;
  • make plans for the Parish annual pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.

Pilgrimage October 2008

For many of us each of the events has a special place:

First Visit, Stations of the Cross, Shrine Shop, Hunstanton, Procession of Our Lady, Benediction, Pilgrimage from RC Shrine to Walsingham, Parish Church, Annointing with Holy Water, Laying on of Hands, Annointing with Holy Oil, Last Visit and Farewell.

Visit to the Abbey Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary with St Sexburgha - July 2008

A trip to Minster on the Isle of Sheppey to visit the Abbey Queen Sexburgha founded.

There are 92 photos and may take a while to play.
